HYDERABAD: An official team Telangana visit Surat to study the textile industry is in preparation for the state government to go ahead with its plans for the creation of an integrated textile Warangal district park.

The team, which includes the Lok Sabha member from Warangal Kadiam Srihari, Vardhannapet and Parakaka MLAs, A Ramesh and Dharma Reddy and officials of the department of industry, has been asked to go Surat by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, according a press release of the CMO here Monday. The prime minister also wanted officials to discuss the textile industry in Tirupur Tamil Nadu and Solapur in Maharashtra before preparing the final plans for a textile park in Warangal.

Chandrasekhar Rao had first raised the idea of creating a textile park in Warangal this June and Monday said the government has already identified land for the installation. In addition, the government could also create the infrastructure for the creation of a market for textiles for sale of finished products manufactured in the proposed park, the statement said.
