Kapurthala: The first high-speed train between Delhi and Agra with a speed of 160 km per hour is expected to run on November 10 and Kapurthala Rail Coach Factory is all set to launch the first rake fourteen coaches of the train. 

Rail Coach Factory (RCF) has made ​​four coaches of high speed rail so far and the work is on the warpath to manufacture the remaining ten coaches on November 10 rake out the first General Manager said today RCF Pramod Kumar. 

The GM said the approximate cost of a high speed coach would be between Rs. 2.25 to 2.50 crore. 

He said the coaches made ​​high speed and RCF for Rahdhani Shatabdi express trains are able to run at the optimal speed of 160 kilometers per hour. 

Mr. Kumar also said that the railways have selected ten routes where high-speed trains running as announced by the railway minister in his budget speech. 

Initially the speed of these trains would be 160 km on specific railway routes and gradually would be enhanced up to 200 kilometers and upgrading of the signaling system, barricaded the area, he said. 

The board train and railway department officials had already conducted a trial in these coaches in Delhi-Agra section at a speed of 160 km and 200 km distance covered in 99 minutes a few days ago, an official said railways. 

The RCF has also begun work on high speed coaches capable of running at a speed of 200 kilometers per hour, making some changes and automatic external doors, changes to the brake system with the provision of electro pneumatic brakes , noise reduction, better sound insulation, provision of TV in the back of every seat in the executive and Wi-Fi system, and improving portals chair cars, said the manager. 

He said the high-speed coach capable of running at 200 miles per hour was launched in June next year.
