Medical Care Hospital here have performed a heart procedure undelivered baby in the womb of the mother, in what is claimed to be the first fetal heart procedure in India.

The baby in the womb, 25 years old, was diagnosed with Sirisha severe obstruction of the aortic valve, which results in the failure of pumping of the left ventricle to the body. There was also showing greater damage in the form of leakage of the mitral valve and the contraction of the heart chambers on the left side.

The method of one hour for two and half years was performed by a medical team of 30 members after importing special needles. The doctor said that the balloons are made of specific size.

The doctors were unsuccessful in their first attempt at week 26 due to unfavorable fetal position.

With a balloon and the appropriate cable, the aortic valve was dilated to relieve the valve block.

Doctors said that the baby has become almost normal. "We have reduced by 99 percent to 60 percent blockage is sufficient to support the normal development of the left ventricle," Rao said.

The doctors said that if another balloon dilation is required to be carried out after birth.
