Visakhapatnam: After partnering India digital initiative of the central government, Internet services giant Google has teamed up with the government of Andhra Pradesh to provide technology support for a similar project. 

Managing Director of Google India Rajan Anandan Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state government officials here in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the conclave of CEOs of Information Technology (IT) companies . 

Anandan said that under the MoU, Google and Andhra Pradesh government will work to increase Internet penetration in Telugu.

Google will partner with academic institutions to create quality content on Telugu Internet. It will also help to official media, such as magazines to reach Internet. "This will make Telugu Internet a reality," he said. 

According to officials, Google will also help women entrepreneurs to be online. 

Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said that the number will make Andhra Pradesh a digital state in the country. 

The event also marked the launch of a Research and Technology Incubation Park in Madhurawada IT Special Economic Zone (SEZ). 

The state government has signed MOU based in Kochi Village Start-up management of the park incubation, the first such facility in the state. 

The company will work with various stakeholders, including universities, colleges and students, along with industry and private partners to build an ecosystem of world-class home. 

The state government also signed MOU with several IT companies for setting up their facilities in and around Visakhapatnam. These include MoU with Tech Mahindra for its facilities in over 10 acres of land. This center is expected to provide 5,000 jobs. 

Another MOU was signed with Wipro granted the status of your existing campus special economic zone in the city. Its purpose is to increase the number of jobs for 7000. 

Under another agreement, the government allocated 13 acres IT SEZ in Gambheeram Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER), an autonomous research laboratory dependent rlectronics department and ministry of communications and IT to establish a research and development center. 

Naidu said Tessolve had shown interest to set up a facility in Visakhapatnam. He said this is a good omen for the start of the semiconductor industry. "IT companies as intense and CoMakeIT have decided to begin development centers in AP," he said. 

The prime minister said he planned to create a tower Madhurawada Signature at one million square feet of space, to symbolize the resurgence of IT in Andhra Pradesh. 

Naidu undertook to develop silicon corridor in Visakhapatnam on lines of Silicon Valley in the USA .. He said that although it took him nine years to develop Hyderabad as a major destination for IT, Visakhapatnam will emerge as the preferred destination four. 

The coastal city with moderate climate and all the natural and human resources has immense potential, he said. 

Naidu invited IT major to set up their facilities in Andhra Pradesh. This was his first interaction with the CEOs of major IT since becoming prime minister of the residual state of Andhra Pradesh in June. 

Naidu said he wants to make Andhra Pradesh as one of the top three states in the country in the field of IT and electronics. The government has prepared a comprehensive plan in computing, electronics and e-government. He also put in place policies IT, electronics, innovation and startups. 

The CEOs who attended the conclave include IBM vice president P. Gopalakrishnan Kris Gopalakrishnan of Infosys co-founder, TCS vice president and chief center of Hyderabad V. Rajanna, vice president and NASSCOM Cyient BVR Mohan Reddy.
