A seven-year-old girl was killed by a man described as a Psycopath by police at Secunderabad Railway Station .The incident took place on platform number 10 when Priyadarshini, along with her father and grandmother, was waiting for a train to Maharashtra's to attend a marriage.

Priyadarshini’s father Srinivas went to buy the tickets when a person appeared and attacked the girl with the knife. Other passengers standing nearby caught hold of the youth,beat him before handing him over to railway police.

The girl was taken to Gandhi Government Hospital, she died on the way to the hospital.
Police identified the assailant as 21-year-old Karan Kumar,who lives in Chittoor district and is an engineering student at a private college at Putturu in the same district.
