Till now smartphone users and net users had advantage of election updates but now the Election commission has plans to use social media to reach the people, the social networks like Facebook and Twitter are also considered for relaying the results for the sake of anxious people interested in the political developments. The details like votes counted, leading of a political party in which State and in which constituency, the leading candidate in a particular constituency will be made available in the Facebook and Twitter accounts, he says.
