The YSR Congress party MLA Gudiwada Venkateswara Rao Kodali (Nani) has filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the appointment of DGP Jasti Venkata Ramudu.

Claims that Ramudu has offered the post DGP only because it helps Chandrababu Naidu to make coup against former CM of AP undivided state late NTR. Nani claims that Ramudu provides security to Chandrababu Naidu and his MLAs, who met at the Vice Roy Hotel, while he served as Deputy Commissioner of Hyderabad Zona Norte.

Nani also alleges that got Ramudu extension of his service after his birth date was corrected in 1993. So, Nani believes Ramudu not deserve to be named as the DGP of the state and therefore should be removed from office and it is to be offered to more senior officer monitoring to ensure free and fair in the state.
