KCR Telangana chief minister has demanded Wednesday announcing Center Bharat Ratna for former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao posthumously.

Welcoming the announcement of the title Bharat Ratna for former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and veteran freedom fighter and teacher Madan Mohan Malava central government, KCR said he was happy about the announcement.

He, however, hastened to add that former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao also should have been honored with the title. "He also deserves and the central government should honor him with the highest civilian award."

Telangana KCR said the government had recommended for Bharat Ratna Rao PVNarasimha but the Centre did not act on it.
