South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager PK Srivastava who inspected the Tirupati railway station here on Monday insisted that officials give priority to improve the conservation of the local station, especially the toilets.

Srivastava who arrived here after visiting Renigunta railway station, AC inspected waiting rooms, cleanliness, general maintenance at various locations and other facilities in Tirupati railway station.

He inaugurated solar panels power 40 kW that will help in reducing the electricity bill of the train station, by harnessing natural energy sources and new bedroom AC.

The leaders of different political parties representing Srivastava met on several issues. Leader M Devanarayana Reddy Congress on their behalf pushed for the creation in the early Tirupati Balaji division as their headquarters, the development of the railway station on the south side benefit of the localities in the southern part of the city the introduction of the train service between Tirupati and Shirdi, extending Simhapuri express to Renigunta and creating Runoff river (ROR) water plant at the station to ensure drinking water to passengers.
