In a surprise, a student Nallapadu Polytechnic College, Guntur district attacked his teacher Venkataramana for throwing acid on him. Venkataramana seriously injured was taken to a nearby hospital. Vekataramana who worked as a mathematics teacher in a private school began to love his girl student Narasaraopet for quite some time. He even promised to marry her and later joined Nallapadu Polytechnic University.

On November 15, however, he cheated on her and married another woman. When she asked him, insulted him by saying that he will marry her as his second wife. Humiliated with this, the girl student came to school with bottle of acid and called him to leave college. Before he could recover, she attacked him with acid.

Venkataramana received numerous burns and is currently being treated in Guntur Government Hospital. The doctors say he is out of danger, but he got severe burns. The police took the girl student into custody for further investigation.
