Residents of at least five mandals in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh experienced mild tremors arond 14:00 on Thursday, reports reaching here.

Residents of Kotabommali, Sontabommali, Polaki, Narsapuram and Saravakota mandals of the district said they ran out of their houses for fear when they felt the ground beneath their feet began to shake and household goods fall.

Reports said the tremors lasted only three seconds.

The district administration has not yet announced the intensity of light earthquake.
