It is a situation of irony for hardcore fans of Prabhas as caught in the dilemma of whether to celebrate the debut of Bollywood your favorite hero or distance themselves from him. Given that the film bagged opinions extreme poverty where critics lambasted the film to the hilt and film, including bags "less" rating, Prabhas fans are quick to blame the director Prabhudheva roping in Prabhas for a cameo in the film.

Starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles and Yami Gautam in a small role, the film was unanimously declared as a damp squib. Few critics have dubbed the film as worse than Humshakals Sajid Khan and joked that Prabhudheva "won the bet" by itself could do worst movie Humshakals. DC People's Daily described the film as "Minus 1" and described the film as "two hours cringe fest".

In a scathing review, Rajeev Masand wrote: "This film is really an orgy of bloody fight scenes marked by too many songs out of tune, and some juvenile gags that might amuse a child of six years old." He added, "It's as fun as getting their soldiers caught in his zipper.
