Hyderabad: City police have warned to take action against those indulging in violation of the AP Prohibition Act of Cow Slaughter and Animal Preservation during Bakrid celebrations. 

"Selling cows, buffaloes is strictly prohibited and calves (calf), which is a crime under the AP Prohibition Act of Cow Slaughter and Animal Preservation 1977", said an official statement. 

If someone violates the rules of the sale of these animals for slaughter for slaughter purposes, they may be punished according to the law, well said. 

Police have also instructed organizers / management of slaughterhouses to sell only ox / ox in its facilities during the Bakrid festival season. 

In view of Bakrid festival, police officials yesterday held meeting with management / organizers of slaughterhouses in Golconda, Langer-House, and Musheerabad Nampally areas. 

During the meeting it came to light that the cows, she buffaloes and oxen / bullocks sold during Bakrid festival season, the statement said.
