Vijayawada: Good news for the government of Andhra Pradesh. The central government seems to agree with the proposed outer ring. According to sources, the central government responded favorably to the important proposal of the state government project 180 km Outer Ring Road (ORR) around the capital city area proposed in Vijayawada.

The estimated budget for the proposal seems to be Rs 19,700 crore.The Minister of road transport and highways and shipping, Nitin Gadkari acknowledged that his ministry may include seeking financial assistance from the project.

Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani launched Gadkari Minister's letter to the media here on Sunday. The state government had submitted estimates and proposals for Prime Minister Narendra Modi for financial assistance.
