Vijayawada: N Chandrababu Naidu Chief Minister on Saturday dropped hints that the capital would be built in the area under the Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri (VGTM). This is contrary to its earlier proposal to take advantage of forest land in Nuzvid for the capital city. 

Naidu, addressing a gathering after launching the regional Doordarshan channel 'Saptagiri' said spare no effort to establish a high level in the company to build the capital city. Collaboration of people will be asked to make the dream of "gold Andhra Pradesh." He assured the people that will soon pass Vijayawada where he was to perform official duties. Government departments also move to the city in a phased manner, he said. 

Naidu said "Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali and Mangalagiri region has the potential to be developed as a mega city. 

The government therefore intensify efforts to attract large investments in the region as it will give a boost to job creation. "

He defended his government's decision to locate the capital of the region of the region-Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali Mangalagiri. The method of attachment of the land given by the government was a win-win, he said. It would help the government to attract mega investments. 

The Chief Minister also received a donation of Rs 10 lakh from the representatives of the City Eluru, through his deputy, Maganti Venkateswara Rao. The Prime Minister thanked the members for their contribution.
