Prolific director Ram Gopal Varma praised Shankar and his film 'I'. It seems that he was impressed with the trailer of "I", which was released a few days ago.

RGV tweeted "After seeing 'I' trailer purely as a common outsider in general I feel Shankar is larger than Jayalalithaa and Rajinikanth in Tamil Nadu." I "in terms of its enormous originality, boldness, imaginativity and all other cavity it will be a pioneer. I was a super big fan of Rajnikant but now I've changed my allegiance to Shanker.

My prediction is that "I" collections on day one to be bigger than "Lingaa" nd is why I say Shanker is larger than Rajnikanth. If all Indian films will never be taken seriously by Hollywood I think it will be a cause of Shanker "I".

"I" is scheduled for release in 2015. Pongal "I" Telugu audio will be launched on December 30 in Hyderabad and hindi audio will be launched on December 29 in Mumbai.
