This is an interesting novel to read and know about Kakateyas.I'm seeing songs on YouTube and suddenly something pop up book Rudrama devi. This is related to the film by Gunasekhar in Rudrama. I just browsed through those links and found many interesting things about kakateya rulers.Many people had different openions on kakateyas issued etc. Apart from that I found an interesting character in most of articles..that is going Gona Reddy. So I started looking for its history and finally finished reading this novel. 

He is a king .... thief..son hero for people..savior of Rudrama kingdome..a lover..And true ... true warrior. 

This story begins with the kidnapping of a prince in their wedding day.I have seen many movies with this kind of introduction to elevate the heroism ..but this novel was written in 1945 when all the kings under kakateyas planning to go against Rudrama, GGR Rudrama controls everything and do your own thinking life.She married a girl initially Veerabhadra later married. He devotes his life to save kingdome..interesting Rudrama thing is that it was his choice to become a thief to save people and kakateyas and only known to Sivadevayya (Rudrama minister) .This sounds like undercover agent / secret police some followers .In many movies as hero character narrates a story undercover cop days..This now ends in the revelation of the truth to people and marry his sweetheart. After reading this novel I can change the name of the movie Gunasekhar.
